I started Fanatical Apathy back in 2001, mainly out of my need to stop wasting paper. A mention in the New York Times (for a Hamlet parody back when the Iraq war was also still fictional) and a link from NPR brought me a whole lot of devoted and loquacious readers, many of whom you can meet amongst the Comments today.
After four and a half years of writing the site all by my lonesome, in June of 2006 I recruited a few of my friends to join me here.
I can only hope that someday they’ll forgive me.
