I’ve gotta run back to the hospital, but all is well. Only a week “early.” It was quite an experience, what with the screaming and the crying and the vomiting and the moaning. But after a while they calmed me down.
No, it went beautifully, and Baz is here. He and his former landlady are doing great.

I’ll explain the “Q” later, but until then you’re welcome to guess.

1Oh and there our better picture is already!! That’s quite a healthy boy you’ve got there. And Adam, as my mother used to say, you couldn’t deny him even if you wanted to. That’s a Felber baby.

7Congratulations, Adam and Jeanne!
So, how much are you charging People Magazine for the photos? $3 million? $2 million? They should at least give you a half-priced subscription, or a football phone (wait, that’s Sports Illustrated), or something.
Q is for…Quayle?

13Congrats to you and Jeanne and welcome to the outside world Sebastian!
I’m guessing Q is for the Bond movies gadget guy (or is that M - I always get those two confused). Adam wants the kid to be a successful inventor/spy.

15Aww, congratulations. I think “Q” is the full middle name, Harry S. Truman-like, and the namesake of Johnny Q. Public.
It's Pat!

16Hooray! I am very happy for you! Enjoy these first days as much as you can!
There is no period after the Q, so I take that to mean it’s like Harry S Truman - it doesn’t stand for anything in particular? If so, cool. If not, cool anyway. Or is it so there is an anacronym? SQF?
Hmmm?

17Mazel Tov on a beautiful baby boy!
Looking at an online baby-name-dictionary-thingie (link), I’ve got a few guesses as to what the “Q” stands for:
Quincy
Means:Fifth
Origin: Latin
Pro: Historical significance
Con: May get him beat up on the playground
Quirtsquip
means: Chewing Elk
Origin: Native American
Pro: Sounds cool
Con: None
Quetzalxochitl
Means: Precious Flower
Origin: Aztec (Nahuatl)
Pro: is worth about seven bajillion points in Scrabble
Con: How exactly do you pronounce it? also, see Qunicy.

22“Quirtsquip

Quirtsquip sounds like it might be onomatopoeic. I’m mean, have you ever listened to a chewing elk?

30Probably the same middle name as my grandson. Named after the Mighty Eskimo.
(Don’t do the popular misspelling nonsense that lets parents spell their the kid’s name all wrong. One girl in school has a name that is pronounce Destiny but spelled Destane. And don’t get me on the one pronounced Shi-thea-ad, but is spelled with out one of the a’s)

38One of my buddies’ father was from the south - Georgia, or some other God-Forsaken wilderness - and the father’s name was F J. That was his name. The initials didn’t stand for anything; it was just F J. When he was drafted during the Korean war, the Selective Service entered his name as F (only) J (only) Burnet. The ill-educated drill sergeants he had the bad luck to serve under, misread his name as being Fonly Jonly Burnet. That was too hard for them to remember, so they invariably shortened it to F J - stranger than fiction, I’d say.

Congratulations to Adam and Jeanne!
Cute little bugger, too.
They’re all cute at that age - they even smell good at first. Later on, not so much.
We have the rent payment due on the clubhouse and we’re broke. Do you think Sebastian would like to join the club. He’s from southern California, so we can jack-up his initiation fee to where it would just about cover the rent.
What does the “Q” stand for?
Pay attention, Timmy. Concentrate really hard.
Concentrate on what?
Never mind. Go stand in the closet over there for a while. Good, now turn around and face the wall. Very good! Now close the door. We’ll tell you when to come out.

43What a little darling! Heartiest congratulations! No apologies to the exclam. point police! This is a major event! I’m tempted to go ALL CAPS! HE’S ADORABLE! PPPPPUH ON HIS TUMMY!
Surely Baz isn’t named after Groucho’s S. Quentin Quail character in “Go West”? I love Groucho, but it’s underworld slang for jail-bait girls, and the movie is not their best. (Still, not a good enough reason to switch to Rufus T. Firefly Felber.)

45Neither Tammy or I are what you would call good singers. But when Tony was a young one, I used to like to try to sing to him Paul Simon’s St. Judy’s Comet. Another one we loved to sing, or play for him, was this song from, of all things, the Disney movie “Dumbo”, a truly lovely tune, done in this link by the Divine Miss M:

48Hey, Adam. Congrats, bubbie! A papa, huh? Mazel Tov! And give Jeanne a pinch where I normally pinch her - it’s good someone else should get slapped from time to time! Heh, heh.
Listen, pal, I still got about 200,000 of these “Baby’s First Soul Patch” - to be truthful, they didn’t move like I hoped they would and now my Chinese manufacturer is screaming at me to take them. At least, I think that’s what he’s screaming about - he’s really hard to follow when he gets excitable. I tell you what, as a baby gift (Somehow, I didn’t get my invitation to the shower. Don’t you just hate the Postal Service? I’m working on a new idea to take out the middleman, if you know what I mean.), how about I send them to you? And if you don’t have room in your apartment, with the new baby and all, maybe you could rent on of those storage pods - a 10′ x 25′ unit should work just fine.
Oh, and there may be a small “handling fee” they’ll ask you to cover. But the patches are on the way, Liebchen, I took care of everything - except the handling charges and the gratuity - these guys normally expect 25%; 33%, if they feel like they’ve given you great service and haven’t dropped too many of them. (These guys are BIG!!! They make a sumo wrestler look like Twiggy!! Heh, heh.) They normally tell me they’ve done a good job and I feel like maybe I should tip them 50%. But that’s your call, Adam. Heh, heh! Enjoy and stick one on the new ankle biter of yours. Ciao! And thanks, pal!! I owe you!!

Baby back ads would be adorable. Or tummy ads. PPPPPPUUUH!
