It's supposed to be a faux stoner piece, which is why there is all there the repetitive schtick and nonsense monolog from "Abe". It's kind of an anti-stoner piece, really. Meta-Satire of what a lame comedy show would do to attract a stoner audience.

SeattleTammy really dug it.

Thanks, Deborah, I didn't want to be the only one to say it, but - Electric Lincoln was basically just stupid. Maybe it would have been better if I'd been high. It was mildly funny for the first 20 seconds but it didn't stop then.

Adam, we love you but even the high amongst us didn't like Electric Lincoln. The first couple of jokes were funny but after that it didn't get a giggle, the nostalgia for Laugh In didnt make up for the jokes (maybe you can get Goldie to help out?). Sorry. Love ya.

I agree - hummingbirds are major cool, and I adore the way they sit on the garage wire and lord it over the yard, all 3 grams of them. We deliberately plant stuff for them to eat; unfortunately our fuchsia has succumbed to those stupid mites and my resident gardener doesn't think he can find a replacement, which is mite resistant, which is also red and white (the color scheme for that spot). We still have the lion's tail, though, and several other things they like (but why do they hang out at the Cana lily?? Siobhan?). We're thinking of replacing the fuchia with a bird feeder (including a hummingbird station, of course) if we can figure out a way to keep the squirrels out of it...

David,
You get all the good birds. Here in urban Oakland, the best we can do is to plant a lot of bushy stuff for them to nest in. We've had resident hummingbirds for some time, plus the usual California towhees; and sometimes we can look up and see a red-tail circling. Our latest visitor is a junco, who looks like he either has moved in or is moving in; he keeps perching on the power wire to the garage. He has to trade it off with the male hummer. I assume it's the male but who can tell?

I don't mention pigeons...

siobhan,

Lots of sandhill cranes down here on the edge of the Green Swamp, plus white ibises (and other types). Sandhills are gloriously raucous when they're arguing about where to park it for the night or when something has stirred them up. Also an occasional whooper, plus some resident red-tailed hawks, owls that generally elude me, a resident pileated whack, whack, whacker, and a plethora of butterflies. Fauna (and flora) are absolute proof Lobster loves us and wants us to be enthralled.

Crap! So you have the entire supply of MM there. Spill some on my book.

I'm gonna sit here in the Santa Cruz mountains, watch my chickadees and Steller's Jays fight for the feeder, and wish y'all one great weekend.
