I just wanted to comment to get that stupid spam on "The Love You Make" off the front page.

Oh and five more days! I'm torn, though -- do I make a sweet potato something that is transportable ahead of time or do I take ingredients and hope I can prevail upon Murray for some kitchen facilities?

So now the purple ink is being replaced with powder burns. Where's the photo op in holding up a trigger finger with powder burns?

Ann, I believe that the Administration picks its historians on who can best predict the past.

Once again I'm kinda confused. If we are doing so well with getting the Iraqis to stand up, why do they need to form their own sectarian militias, and if the government meant anything, why let competing armies have a foothold.

Any ways, Stay the Course, no.. now it's Adapt and Win,...hmm, just can't keep the latest meaningless rally phrases straight.

But then Mr. Hassan's house was "mistakenly" raided by Ameri...coalition troops (what? there is one than one Mr. Hassan in Baghdad? Well who'd have thunk?) and while Mr. Hassan and his family are okay (that's why you start with two arms, right?!), the coupon was never seen again and mysteriously (but surely coincidentally) there were free daiquiris for all in the Green Zone last night. (For which the US Coalition Authority was billed $1,300, just to throw auditors off the track of the free coupon).

For the record, I don't find any of this funny at all, but my actual reaction (WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!) did not seem worth reading.

Oh, unfortunately Mr. al-Athiri died of his wounds, so Mr.Hassan was awarded the prizes. Life is especially strange in Iraq.

Unfortunately when Mr. al-Athiri arrived at Nomaan Hospital, he was turned away from the emergency room because of the overcrowding, already with the queue stretching 3 blocks out of the door.

Fortunately when he went to Yarmouk Hospital, he entered straight into the emergency room and when he did, bells went off, lights flashed all over the hospital, and a beauty queen flown from Dubai for the occasion, presented him with a bouquet of roses and that highly prized coupon for 72 virgin daiquis for being the 1,000,000th patient this year. Ain't life strange?

Funny thing is that I'm trying to get my condo association to start a security committee. Hopefully it won't be quite as dangerous - but there was just another bike stolen over the weekend from right next to my building and so far this year had 6 cars stolen (including mine!).

At least items 4-10 will apply to us. I hope to call in the professionals should we need to move on to step 11. (Anyone got an old Honda that I could park here as bait and electrify?)

The motion passed 5-0 even though two of the members were dead. Now THAT'S democracy!
