Opps, sorry Adam, unimportant things (business, politics, hanging out at the pond drinking beer) keep getting in the way of what is really important.

Wishing you a belated happy birthday, (if it helps ease the pain I also missed my granddaughters birthday yesterday).

At least you wern't born 5 days later and had to share the day with W.

Speaking of the public clearly misremembering the true chain of events--the best record in baseball and the Tigers have 1 elected member to the All-Star team? Did Diebold have anything to do with this?

Go, October 9! I didn't know about Jackson Browne, but you can add Sean Lennon, (there was some artificial and fairly disturbing inducement on proud papa's part).

Happy b-day, Adam. You came out extremely well for a guy who never got to have a class birthday party.

There's even an NPR precedent for Pete - rB's "Roll back the tape". One of my favorite events on Car Talk is the "Stump the Chumps" segment, where they call someone from some distance in the past, remind everyone what the situation was, and find out if they guessed right or not. How about a "Stump the Chumps" segment on WWDTM where they go back over embarrassing public statements from the celeb of the moment? Of course, then they'd never get anyone to appear...
