7Oh, man… was that plane at like, 10:12? I was, like, totally sure that it was at 12:10. Bummer. That is, like, so bogus.

9No, sadly I wasn’t delayed by, um, Humboldt hospitality.
Just a late takeoff from San Francisco and airport traffic kept me from getting home at my customary time… thus, I was unable to blog for you good people.

10wow. that plane flew really high…(giggle. munch)
Adam, upon hearing the Hefner remark, I thought “Gotta remember to thank him for that.” So - thanks for that.

12Oh, yeah,
I’ve been making it a point to take in more of the great stuff on NPR lately. The Little Hoper in me refuses to accept the possibility that all is lost, even as mounting evidence does keep pointing in that direction. Hell, I’m going ahead and imagining President Feingold/Vice President Boxer (or vice-versa). Dreams are free, and fun, dammit.

13Son-of-a-bitch!
Now you’re telling me you were in the SF airport on Friday morning. So were we. You weren’t on the 6:00 am flight to LA were you?

14Getting “stuck” in SFO is the norm. I love the airport, I hated the constant delays flying in and out of there.
And David, I might be all for president Feingold but Veep Boxer?

15Adam for Pres’dent.
Jon Stewart for Press Secertary.
Howie Dean for VP.
All on NPR-24.

16Ice Weasel,
Why not Vice President Boxer (aside from the poor odds of her winning that office)? She has a real propensity for both courage and being legit on the issues.
Pete IVDL,
I’d vote for that ticket, and Jon Stewart would make the best press secretary in the history of the republic.

18In the absence of an FA fix thus far this week, here’s the link to a tour-de-force by Tom Engelhardt regarding Bush v. History/Reality:

dee,
Be careful what you wish for. Fiji is not without ugly political tensions. Ambassadoress Dee could become Ambassaduress Dee.

20Oh Adam…
One of the most profitable market index funds is the “Adam Felber Wins Wait Wait” Fund.
I’ve made a killing, and was so close to retiring…
The fund dropped precipitously with your loss to Kyrie…
Though the Hugh Hefner comment was spot on!

21dee,
False alarm. I was thinking of Tahiti, not Fiji. It’s the i fore and aft of the final consonant that caused the crossed circuit in my memory banks (yeah, that’s the reason, not rampant CRS).
So happy ambassadorship to Fiji. Should be a great gig, wonderfully distant from Foggy Bottom and Liberty University.

22And I was going to propose a playing-field-levelling plan for “Wait, Wait…” that involves handicapping Adam with Maker’s Mark before the competition begins. Well, it’s nice that Adam let somebody else win for once!
