I’ll be leaving for tonight’s show in San Diego in an hour or so. Just me, Jeanne, Paula, and miles and miles of open road.
Well, I can at least hope for the “open road” part.
Thanks to youse benefactors, there will be some changes in the days to come, both cosmetic and deep. The content, however, should remain about the same. Though I may get a haircut to go with the new look.
Play nice while I’m gone, or I’ll hear about. Everybody should be in bed by 11, and no loud music, okay?

One entry per person, please.

10One more thing. Let us all hope that for Jeanne’s sake it’s clear sailing to San Diego and she has a well stocked I-Pod.

12And how far, exactly, is it from San Diego to the Mexican border, pray tell? And how much does Maker’s Mark cost in Mexico? And if Adam does go over the line, what are the odds the Feds will let him back in?

13Ginny, you can have the remote, it’s those 900 numbers I’ve always wanted to try.
I wonder how well Adam’s humor translates to spanish. Maybe it’s like Jerry Lewis into French, Or not.

Ha - just kidding! I brought the munchies, now who brung the (nudge, nudge, wink wink) videos? Oh, what’s that? Adam only gets C-SPAN? Ahhhhh, now I get it…
Dee, you have the socks, the Y-fronts, the dark glasses, and the floor. You go girl!

18Hey, Adam. The actor they hired to do your voice last night doesn’t look a bit like you.
Seriously, it was a pleasure to meet you and the rest of the WWDTM gang last night (5/5/05) at the taping. I hope your bed was nice and comfy at the Hotel Parisi.
Yes, I really am that fawning and inarticulate and do tend to repeat myself when cornered, but, as I stammered last night, I do think that the recent “Brazil Nuts” and “HMS Beagle” posts were absolutely spot on — a couple of your best, perhaps even since the “Marriage” piece, which I think may have been the first thing I ever read on this blog.
I hope the drive back to LA is/was uneventful.

19A) Carp! He’s coming up the driveway! Everyone get dressed and someone hide the goat!
B) In point of fact, Sue, no, I have no shame. I had it surgically removed. It was that or lipo, and the sense of shame was heavier.
C) Murray’s standing directly behind me, isn’t he?

20Bugger the goat, someone pick up Alison, top up the vodka bottles, and lock the stock of liquor with a lock.
Shhh! They’re baaack…
[car door slams]
baaa! (shhh)
[front gate squeaks open… then squeaks closed]
oink oink! (shh)
[footsteps getting louder]
urf urf! (shhhhhh)
[sound of keys rattling in the lock]
[new sound of dozens of fake snores from upstairs, behind plant pots, under sofa, behind curtains, and near the Oscar cabinet…]

21Pete,
Not the goat! The rat, maybe. John Bolton, aaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
A consenting pal, but not a PayPal, what with the Bush Administration’s vindictive treatment of Brazil. A Hot Russian Slut(our own Posting Hot Russian Slut?) - now that has a more pleasant tenor.

Remember the amazing and inspiring visage of the holy (not wholly or holey) virgin? Well, some people just have no respect.

24Hope all who were at the WWDTM recording in San Diego had as good a time as I did at the Pacific Grove recording….and that someone (like Allison did) brought our favorite panelist some Maker’s Mark!
BTW…I brought the backstage crew some finest California wine….hint hint to all who may attend a recording!

26Muttermuttermutter… I dunno, between Tom in Santa Clara, Allison, and Steve, Murray, and all you other LUCKY SODS who get to meet Adam and te Felbers (remember, he is the Lobster’s ‘creator’!), while the rest of the world - sniff - remains barren, and poor, and -sob- Adam-free. Luckily I’ve got Realaudio and the WWDTM site, or I’d really be a gnashin’ and a-wailin’…

28I gotta say, the live WWDTM show last November was a blast! I hadn’t laughed that hard in a long time. And fortunately, the Maker’s Mark (for the maker of the supreme Lobster) and chocolate banana slugs were well received.
The San Diego show was good, but I don’t think that audience could have had as much fun as we had in Pacific Grove. Then again, I imagine all the audiences for live WWDTM shows feel that way.
Adam, how often will you be going to Chicago once WWDTM starts doing weekly live shows?

29Congrats on getting all 8 questions right in the lightning fill-in-the-blank round! Has that ever been done before?
***We now present a communique from the MPR WWDTM Anti-Defamation League***
Salud!
Minnesota Public Radio, in their infinite a lack of wisdom, has changed WWDTM’s spot on the schedule.
Again.
This time it’s now on 2:00 Sunday. A good time, perhaps, and with plently of advance warning on-air.
