Tomorrow evening I’ll be a “keynote speaker” at a fundraiser for John Kerry’s campaign. I believe there is still some space available if you’re hankering for a dose of jazz, Kerry boosterism, and Felberfication.
Now don’t panic - Adam Felber is not dropping out of the race. I’m just lending a hand to a fellow candidate who, like me, needs to raise more funds. I fully expect John Kerry to repay the favor and speak at my next fundraiser. He hasn’t actually contacted me about this yet, but that’s how these things work. Trust me.
My fellow keynoter will be my friend Ritch Duncan, comedian and the editor of Jest Magazine, and we’ll be introduced by our pal Bryan Tucker, comedian and writer for Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. Not a single one of us will be performing with the jazz band, which is a shame. Bryan’s oboe solo at last year’s “All-Comedian Jam Band and Frisbee Fest” was a uniquely beautiful moment.

3Bryan Tucker plays the oboe? Damn! There goes my claim to being the world’s only oboe wielding humorist.

4Hey. Great blog! Sorry to post this here but I couldn’t find your contact info, and I really thought you’d be interested…
I just wanted to alert you to a freshly-minted liberal media site you might enjoy/link to called The Raw Story, http://www.rawstory.com, which culls and composes progressive news, arts and business reporting from around the world. Similar to Buzzflash, but with a much more user-friendly design and updated far more frequently. But what we say doesn’t matter — check us out and decide for yourself.

5Not the first time he has done this. Adam, could you send him a communique telling him to stop this?
