I haven’t mentioned much about it, but I’ll be gone most of this week. See, I’m writing for the new, revamped “The Smoking Gun” television show, based on and culled from the astounding and indispensible website of the same name and hosted by my friend and yours, Mo Rocca. This one’s sort of an up-to-the-minute year-end wrap up, and we’re shooting all week.

I’d love to tell you all about what’s on it, my friends, but I’m afraid you’ll have to wait until it airs in December. For now this tid-bit will have to suffice: among the props used in our investigative pursuits are a fingerprinting kit, a copy of “The Merchant of Venice,” and a wedding gown.
