From CNN:
Killing Arafat “is not the official policy of the Israeli government,” Shalom said. “It was never before, and we don’t speak about any killing, we didn’t speak about it before, and we don’t speak about it today.”
…
Sunday, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz quoted Olmert on Israel Radio saying, “We are trying to eliminate all the heads of terror, and Arafat is one of the heads of terror. In my eyes, from a moral point of view, this is no different from killing others who were involved in . . . acts of terror. It’s only a practical question. What is the benefit? What will the reaction be? What circumstances will allow this?”

2What, murdering heads of state is not official policy in Isreal? You’d that Isreal was one just going soft. Good thing we got ourselves a real president who can hold his head up high as he says “Wanted Dead or Alive”
You know the good thing about a presidential directive, like the one that banned state sponsored murder, (put into effect by Ford) is that any president, (W, a year of two ago) can recind it at any time. Are we great or what?

3It isn’t “official policy”and they “don’t speak about any killing”. Sounds like typical CIA procedure to me ;-D

4Well at least the Israelis can vote Sharon out of office. I am not so sure we can vote out stupid-head. Very sure the Saudis cannot vote out their stupid-head. … and the French, they actually had to really around their stupid-head so that an even worse stupid-head couldn’t get in.
Moving to Cananda now.

7John,
Actually that explains a lot. When Bush said Sharon is a man of peace, what he really meant was that he’s Shalom’s man.
