For the next week, postings on this site may be a little sporadic. Or they may get a little weird. See, I’ll be in Wareham, MA, rehearsing a play I wrote for myself and a 10 year-old. We’ll spend the whole week pretending to be Vikings.
Now before you call the cops, let me assure you that it’s all on the up-and-up. I’ll be once again working with The 52nd Street Project, an amazingly wonderful program that teams up Hell’s Kitchen kids with professional actors, writers, and directors. This particular project, the annual “One-on-Ones” involves an actor/writer custom-writing a (short) play for themselves and a kid. You can see all 10 plays performed in Manhattan in two weeks. I’ll be there, Viking away to beat the band. I love to vike.
Meanwhile, try to enjoy yourselves. I’ll try to post whenever I can get internet access. But I’ll leave you with this, a new Felber/Sagal “preliminary” campaign button, kindly supplied by Mary Weed. I’m relatively certain, however, that I am wearing someone else’s body in that picture. It’s hard to get the two of us photographed together these days, as Peter spends so much time in his secure, undisclosed location.

2Alas! Not many people know anything about the Vikings - not really. The Victorians colored in all the lines, and they got most of it wrong, but beyond that … History is mystery and science fiction, which is just the way we like it.
(like our current events, come to think of it.)

4Hear! Hear! I agree. We need a photo of Adam as a Viking! The possible campaign slogans are mind-boggling!

5I supported Peter for Student Council, I can’t stop supporting him now. How come he is not at the top of the ticket?

Can Peter be dressed as a Viking, too?
For that Unity of Vision thing, you know.
Besides, it would be at least twice as much fun.

8Is it just me, or does the background remind you of “bomb-pops” from when you were a kid? Does this somehow tie into the existence of WMD?

9“I am a Viking of some note,
Knute’s my name and here I float,
Out on the sea in a great big boat..”
—Todd Rundgren, “Viking Song”
Will you get to wear a helmet with huge horns?
On another topic, doesn’t that campaign photo make Adam look buffed? Why, he almost looks as hunky as that ultimate announcer hunk, Mr. Carl “The Body AND Voice” Kassell!
