[Yes, yes, I know… felbers.net ought to have a calendar page that keeps you abreast of my many exciting public appearances. Yes, occasional blog entries about same are too infrequent and also distract from the business at hand. True. Too true. I’ll rectify this. Soon. I will. Of course. But ’til then…]
If you’re looking for late-night entertainment in New York this weekend, you can of course make some reservations for Friday’s Next Big Broadway Musical. Recent performances have included musicals set in the French court of the 1600’s, 1920’s London, and the disco-era Lower East Side. We’ve just extended our run (huzzah), so you can count on us being around until at least Labor Day.
Or you might want to come down and see The Mock on Saturday night - a sort of live, improvised “Mystery Science Theater” type thing. This week we’ll be screening 1960’s The Manster. I’ll be hosting, and my pal Eric Drysdale (comedian, “Daily Show” writer, bon vivant) will be on hand. Plus, when it’s over you’ll find yourself in Times Square after midnight, and what could be better than that?

1I keep seeing Andy Borowitz all over CNN, and it seems to me that this site is at least as funny as his, so why aren’t you on CNN? I mean, sure, you don’t have a book out that takes a humorous look at prison rape, but you ARE running a presidential campaign. Surely CNN has room for more than one funny Jew, right?

2Not this Friday, alas. Have to retire early to rest up for the Blogathon. But hey, if you ever start at a decent hour for us older people (say, 7 or 8 instead of 10 PM!), let me know.

3The Manster might be worth using my frequent flier miles. Any chance it will go on tour?
