Haha! Witty as usual, Adam, especially what you wrote about Seabiscuit. I've flipped through the LXG comic book, and while I know Alan Moore has produced some incredible works, LXG doesn't seem as interesting, for some reason. Have to check it out.

Please for the love of God don't refer to Alan Moore's excellent work by the insipid name the studio has slapped on the movie. One good, one bad. Let's not confuse the two.

I don't think Tobey Maguire is a simple, dopey guy. I think he's a guy with the affect of a serial killer. Very, very creepy!

Word of the day: Turboschmaltz!

BTW, I enjoy how Schwarzenegger plays an empty robot carrying out someone else's orders. Has Ahnold been typecast?

Hulk may be interesting, and I hadn't heard of the "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" (I hate movie acronymns); I may have to check it out.

In the meantime, it might be worth noting that, as far as the Earth is concerned, summer's only starting in the northern hemisphere. More syllables, so it throws the flow of the sentence off, but there you go.

I thought I was the only one who found Toby McGuire 10 times creepier than any spider I've seen crawling down a wall!

In the meantime, is anybody wondering how they got the horse playing Seabiscuit to understand his motivation for losing the Santa Anita over and over? Does he draw on Daniel Day-Lewis's genius in "My Left Foot" to simulate the real Seabiscuit's knobby knees and "eggbeater" stride? I certainly hope to see him on "Inside the Actors' Studio" soon.

"Lake Placid", the how-did-a-huge-ass-alligator-get-in-the-Lake movie with Mister Oliver squishy Platt is the only summer movie we ever needed.

The rest are but pale imitations.

Desperately waiting for the sequel,
