Sorry if entries have been sparse lately - I’ve been working hard, working for you, my dear public. At least four projects have occupied my days and nights. I am prepared to now divulge the details of two of them, as their hour draws near…
First, there’s this Friday and the next, wherein you can see me in:

Yes, it’s the newly-rediscovered lost Hall and Oates variety show pilot. You can learn all about it on Eric Drysdale’s homepage (a fine page in its own right). Eric, a very funny man and a writer for “The Daily Show,” and Jon Corbett, an extremely talented comedian, star as Oates and Hall. As for me (billed on Eric’s page under my preferred stage name, “And More”), well, I play John Oates’ semi-estranged brother, performing my act, “Steve Oates and the Oatesville Critters.” Do come, do.
And then there’s a week from Friday, the opening of “The Next Big Broadway Musical,” finally returning to the New York stage. Yes, it’s that completely improvised Broadway musical that I mention around here, to be performed all summer on beautiful 46th Street. The web page I’ve slapped together for it is not exactly fabulous, but the show is.
Astute readers may have noted that in the preceding two paragraphs I seem to have committed myself to two shows at different addresses on the second Friday from now. An even-more-astute subset of those readers may have realized that said evening falls on Friday, the 13th of June.
I’m okay with that, and anyone in New York should come on out that night to see one of the shows. Hell, come see both of ‘em. What could possibly go wrong?
