Dear Gun Makers and Gun Dealers;
As you may have guessed, the current preoccupation with the war and the attendant general goodwill towards firearms gave us the unique window of opportunity to pass the previously unpassable sweeping Gun Lawsuit Immunity Bill. And pass it we have!
For your edification, here are some Frequently Asked Questions about the new gun bill. Enjoy!
Love,

1Of course they’ll think of something by next November. But the smiley looks really bland in your font. It’s as if it’s posing for a formal photo and the photographer is making some incredibly ineffectual joke to try to get it to smile satisfactorily. Or maybe it’s just the beefeater.

2From the SF Chronicle:
“They [proponents of the bill] argued that, in general, gunmakers should not be sued where the products are used “as intended or designed”–just as automakers and makers of baseball bats are protected.”
How would you intend to use a gun?

3“National Rifle Association chief lobbyist, Chris Cox, said in a statement the bill sent a clear message that anti-gun groups cannot use the courts to try to enact their agenda.”
did i miss something in high school civics? i thought we were a nation of laws; you know — the constitution and all that. or am i just a pinko, pacifist, 2nd amendment-hating traitor who is too yellow to realize that the only law that matters is the one that gets aimed at someone’s head?

5Well I for one am grateful that if we are ever invaded by some country that seeks to impose its form of goverment on us, I will have access to all sorts of weapons with which to defend myself, my family and my home.
It’s worked so well in Iraq.

Of course not. They should use guns to enact their agenda.

8Now, understanding that all politicians are slimy and sneaky, THIS just proves that gun rights activists were desperate. For all their macho BS this just illuminates their cowardice.
