Kate — nope. The joke was more on Bush, actually — standing next to a very articulate speaker like Blair only reinforces how grade-school his oratory skills actually are.
Has anyone run Bush’s speeches through a “reading-level” analyzer? I’d love to know the results.
Dana, blogs are the things linked to in the green window to the right. Websites, basically, where people post comments a few times a day or so. People link to media all over the world, and it’s now my favorite news source, far ahead of the US media. The NYT mentioned one, The Agonist, as a key source for the war. It’s also fun, like here.
That green window covered up Bush’s comments on my screen.
John, if you click on the top title on the green window on the right, the green strip will disappear and you’ll be able to see the whole posting. And thanks for telling me what a blog was. I never had the nerve to ask!

3Pardon my lack of knowledge… but did Blair *really* tell a tasteless joke? I’ll go crawl back into my hole now…
